Seriously Blizz, W-T-F?

So this week, I rant and bitch about the recent factions change, as well as the upcoming races change.  Basically, there will be absolutely no consequences to any choice we make in the game.

Want to switch class too?  Give ‘em a couple months, I’m sure they’re working on it.

I also talk about some 3.2.2 PTR patch notes and the new Sourgewar loot cards, which leads us to this week’s OMFG Drop of the Week, courtesy of Upper Deck.

As I’ve said often on Twitter, an illness with one of my children prevented me from keeping up with the WoW Dawgs podcast, however that’s all in the past now… and I’m back to rant some more.  On a more serious note, I would like to thank everyone for the support over the last three months.  It may not seem like it, but trust me when I say that it was appreciated… a great deal.

If you give a rat’s ass, I go on about my thoughts on Cataclysm this week.  There’s a lot to love, and to be quite frank, very little not to like.  Not much more to say than that.  The OMFG drop of the week this week is the Onyxia mount, which I would love to snag, just so I can ride the bitch all over ol’ Azeroth once flying is allowed there.

Yes, the new Druid cat forms have been announced.  Don’t even bother look at the Night Elf cats.  It’ll just make you cry.

Joining me this week is Lodur from World of Matticus to discuss the new Druid cat forms.  We both agree that the Tauren cat forms are fantastic, however he was far more accepting of the Night Elf cats than I was.

At the end of the podcast, I read off (with the author’s permission), a blog entry by Mr Seb.  He talks about emotions (or the lack thereof) in gaming, and it tied in nicely with what I was saying about how important our avatars are (and what they project).

Personally, I am incredibly disappointed, especially considering the hype that Blizzard made about this (“It’ll be worth the wait”).  I think we’re being fed crap on a cracker and made to think it’s caviar.

It was interesting to get Cadistra and Medro’s takes on the subject, both of them having druids of their own.

With 3.1.2 live, I go through the patch note highlights, the new TCG loot cards available to play with on the PTR, the Battle-Bot mini pet promotion as well as a variety of blue posts (including the Druid weapon upgrades in Ulduar and Shaman totem stomp macros).

I also discuss changes to items with Stealth Detection, as well as one crazy ass GM.

Join me as I discuss the week since 3.1 hit.  Dual-spec has been taking up most of my time, between working on a restoration set for my shaman’s secondary spec, and configuring everything. 

I go into some blue topics ranging from the DK dual wield nerf, the warlock’s conflagrate nerf (and their subsequent demand) and the armor penetration breakdown courtesy of Ghostcrawler.

The show is finished off with a little chat about whether Blizzard should begin selling gold.

3.1 has arrived and with it, extended maintenance.  While the realms were down, I managed to put together a little show for y’all.

Regardless of what the patch notes say, the Equipment Manager is still not in the game.  What is in 3.1 however is a metric fuckton of changes.  I don’t bother going through them all again, but I do touch on some interesting points (including UI settings that you’ll want to check out before doing much else).

This week’s OMFG Drop of the Week comes courtesy of the Heroic: Glory of the Ulduar Raider achievement.  The Ironboard Proto-Drake.  I will stand corrected however, as it does fly at 310%... which only makes me want it more.

I’d think I’d started podcasting last week.  Seriously.  Now I’m not about to pretend like I’m an old hand at this, but come on… it’s been three quarters of a year and I’m still screwing up recording every once in a while.  Luckily this wasn’t too bad.

This week I talk about my DK’s Blood/Unholy build and how fun he is to play (having dusted him off since last podcast).  I also discuss my adventures with a PUG from Hell (although if the kids are that group are reading, I shouldn’t swear).  *groan*
